As much fun as it can be letting your pet explore the outdoors, it’s a whole lot less fun if a tick attaches itself to your dog or cat. Luckily, removing a tick from your pet pal is usually a fairly straightforward process.
Start by finding some protective gloves for yourself. Ticks are known to be hosts to a wide array of diseases harmful to other animals, including humans! After that, use a pair of tweezers to remove the entire tick from your animal, pulling up and out from the closest point possible to your pet’s skin.
Dispose of the tick by flushing it down the toilet and clean the area around the bite mark. Then, reward your buddy for being good throughout the entire ordeal with a treat or some extra play time.
